Last week, the Group formalized its entry into the Romanian renewable energy market through the incorporation of a Joint Venture with the local company A&J Brand Construction. Likewise, the new company will be advised by the professional services firm Glodeanu & Partners.
A&J Brand Construction is an energy engineering company with experience in all energy related services, plant management, plant engineering , for sustainable and renewable energy technologies; with a track record in the execution of more than 2.5GW internationally. During its first stage of activity and coinciding with the take-off of the Romanian market in the first decade of the century, it has participated in the execution of wind power plants in Romania. Currently, it participates in the execution of more than 800MW in photovoltaic solar plants in Spain and Portugal.
Energía Aljaval is a Spanish company with an active international presence that has a large team of professionals with proven experience in the energy sector and whose main lines of business are project development, engineering and energy trading in different technologies such as photovoltaic, wind and green hydrogen. More than 1GW of projects developed by Energía Aljaval are currently in operation and currently more than 4GW are under development in different countries.
With offices in Bucharest and Constanta, the new company will take care of the development and promotion of renewable energy projects in Romania, with a special focus on solar photovoltaic and wind technologies. By combining the experience of A&J Brand in the construction and commissioning of solar and wind plants, and the know-how of Energía Aljaval in the development of projects at an international level, the new Joint Venture aims to develop more than 1GW in the next years.
